I can't sign up because the event is full. What should I do?
Where should I sign up on the website?
I'm a beginner. Can I attend?

I signed up but never received a confirmation email (or I got a failure notice). How do I know if I am registered?
Event is full. Can I come without signing up?
I cannot attend. When should I cancel signup?
The events do fill up quite quickly. However, please be aware that by signing up to our newsletter, it will be easier for you to register. You can also put your name on the waiting list (you will need to create an account to do so) when an event is full. If you do so, an email will be sent to you when there are free places. Additionally, do not hesitate to check the day of an event as some people cancel at the last minute.
Upcoming events are listed on the right-hand side of each page on the website. You then have to click on the date of the event you are interested in and fill in the form to sign up (if you already have an account on the website, please log in to your account first).
You're very welcome to join us.
Of course, it can be a bit more difficult for beginners, but most of the French speakers speak English quite well so you'll find a way to communicate. One of the points of Franglish is to push you to speak in order for you to gain confidence in your language skills and thus progress. Also, it's a good opportunity to meet locals!
Franglish is made for native speakers, but if you are fluent in English you are very welcome to join us (only you can judge your level)!
So if your English is fluent, there's no problem.
When signing up you should see a confirmation message at the top of the page. Furthermore you will automatically receive a confirmation email a few minutes after your registration as well as a reminder the day before the event. If you have not received any of these, please check in your spam folder first (and mark as 'not spam').
The simplest method to know if you are registered is to log in to your account on the website. Your current signups should appear on the left-hand side. If you don't have any signups, your registration did not work and you will have to sign up again.
Unfortunately registration is mandatory since we match the number of speakers for each language. There might be available places because of people not showing up but we cannot guarantee a place for you if you do not sign up.
Nevertheless, if you decide to come to see if there are any available places, please note that it is it is not worth coming before 7.25pm since you will not start before 7.30pm without registration.
The organisation of 1-to-1 conversations means that we need the same number of French speakers and English speakers, and people who don't show up or cancel on the day of the event hinder the organisation (furthermore the majority of the events are full a few days in advance, and a lot of people willing to participate cannot register).
Please cancel signup at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot attend. We are simply trying to ensure the best organisation possible.
If you are not sure you can attend, please wait before signing up. There are often available places the day of the event (even last minute).
